I was extremely excited to get to speak with one of Adam & Eve’s contract stars. Ava Rose has been contracted with Adam & Eve for a year and a half now, and has made right at 45 different adult films.
The first thing I wanted to know was how she got her start with Adam & Eve.
AR: Well, I sucked off the owner. [laughs] Just kidding.
KT: Well I guess that’s the easy way.
AR: [laughs] No, good ol’ Phil, he’s too busy building hostels over in India. He’s awesome. Well, I actually showed up, at the time when I first got into the industry, my sister and I shared the same car. Well, they gave us an address where she needed to be dropped off because I needed the car that day. So I dropped her off at the house and she said that Todd was there. I went up to Todd and said hello and what not, and I was about to leave and Meredith said, “Are you busy now?” and I said “No,” so she wanted to get me in hair and makeup and do a catalog shoot. After that, she started bringing up shooting Lady Scarface, and if I did good in that, they wanted to sign a contract with me. Then they signed me to a contract like a month later, and then I shot Lady Scarface, so it was kinda luck of the draw I suppose.
KT: So how did you feel when they decided to renew you for another year, this last July?
AR: Awesome! I was stoked. I am always stoked. It’s because we work well together, Adam & Eve I mean. They’re so awesome. They’re kinda like uncorrupted because they are so far from everything.
KT: So can you give me any clues as to what you are going to be doing this July when your contract runs out?
AR: Renewing it. It automatically renews.
KT: That’ll be good for you.
AR: Yeah, I think I will be with them until I am done with porno. I feel like if I was completely dumped on my contract, because I was dragging it on, I wouldn’t want to be thrown out into the gonzo world. It’s like…you know…
KT: I know, I actually just wrote a piece on it. So, that’s funny.
AR: Yeah, I don’t work so well in the gonzo world. [laughs] They eat me alive. I mean I can change my little thing, but…you know I have gotten a little crazy before, but I definitely vanilla-ed it down a bit, and that’s what I am comfortable with. [laughs]
KT: [laughs] So, do you have any significant plans, anything that is going on right now?
AR: Uhh, while I’m in porn?
KT: Yeah, well actually that question was for the remainder of your contract, but you said you were renewing it so, do they have any big plans for you already worked out?
AR: I am sure they do. We have a lot going on next year. Already in July I do leave, July something, oh it’s the 18th or the 20th or something like that. We are doing a roller derby movie. I don’t know if we are shooting it, but I do know that we are having a party at the Palms that whole weekend. Just for Adam & Eve, which is crazy. I mean I am not a big fan of Vegas but I used to all the rich white trash. [laughs]
KT: [laughs] Hell, I was just stoked that it was a roller derby movie.
AR: Yeah, roller derby is the shiznit. I’ve never done it, but I have seen them girls get pretty god damned brutal. I mean, but Sunny Lane is really good at ice-skating and roller derby and stuff like that. She’s gonna save me.
KT: I like Sunny. She is nice.
AR: Yes, she is a very sweet girl.
KT: You have been quoted as saying that you consider Carmen Luvana as a mentor of sorts. Do you still feel that way?
AR: [laughs] I wouldn’t say mentor, I would say one cool chic. I think she’s awesome, and she’s smart, and she’s definitely made smart business decisions, and very zesty that Carmen. [laughs]
KT: She’s so pretty.
AR: Yeah and she’s cool. I like Bree Olsen a lot too.
KT: Have you gotten to work with her yet?
AR: Who? Bree?
KT: Yeah.
AR: Of course, silly. I worked with her a long time ago. It’s weird now, just working with like either Carmen or Bree, because we are all contracted together, and we are all homies sort of. Which is weird because no contract girls, are really like homie homies. Not that I know of anyways. I can only speak for myself, but they’re all pretty cool and not very cattie. It just gets weird when you are fucking someone you know really well like that.
KT: I could see that. I guess really the only other thing I wanted to ask, because you have been on the Howard Stern Show, how was that experience?
AR: Mmm, let’s see, the first time was December 2006 with my sister and Paul Fishburn. We were promoting AVN. That was very cool and interesting. I mean I wasn’t quite as prepared, but I think it went pretty well. Unfortunately he had to tone it down a little bit because someone had sex with Paul Fishburn. Then the second time it was new pornstars versus old pornstars in like a Family Feud style thing. That was a lot of fun. I woke up 5 minutes before I was supposed to go on because my stupid alarm didn’t go off, but it didn’t look like it. Fortunately for me, I just look like I wake up everyday. That was fun too. That older lady, what was her name? She was talking about how she liked sticking cantaloupes in her pussy and how she gets off on fruit being in her ass and shit.
KT: [laughs] That’s funny!
AR: They kinda took all of the unwanted attention away from us. Anything, that had to do with disgusting, they pretty much took that attention off of us. That old chic is fucking hilarious. She has like emphysema or some shit. She smokes a lot. I thought I smoked a lot. Boy o Boy.
KT: I do have one more question but it’s pretty easy. What, if you have one, is your favorite movie that you made?
AR: Maybe…I’m thinking… Dark City when it comes out. Maybe the Carolina Jones one, when it comes out. They are both by Ethan Kane; they are really pretty. The music trailer video thing is out for Dark City, but it hasn’t come out yet. But, I think those two are very nicely done.
KT: Alright well you have been a sweetheart and I appreciate it.
AR: I appreciate you.

The beautiful brunette with the rockin’ body was very friendly and intelligent. She carried on a conversation like a professional. She pronounced every word with an elegant tongue, and really seemed interested in what I had to say. I hope I get to speak with her again someday
